Cord Blood Acceptance Criteria


  • » The mother’s viral tests for Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, HIV and VDRL should be strictly negative.
  • » In case the physician requests, additional test results such as CMV (CMV IgG), EBV, Toxoplazma IgM,
  • » HTLV-I should be provided.
  • » Pregnancy should not be under age of 18.
  • » Mother should complete 35 weeks gestation period.
  • » The baby should weigh more than 2000gr.
  • » The amniotic fluid at the delivery should be clean.
  • » The mother’s body temperature should not exceed 38.50C before birth.
  • » After birth, the noew born baby should not have any infection, high fever or congenital abnormality.
  • » The collected cord blood should be minimum 60cc.
